Tiramisu is a Labor of Love

Anyone who has ever made tiramisu knows that it is a labor of love. First of all, ladyfingers are extremely difficult to procure…you can get any run-of-the-mill Whole Foods ladyfingers, but if you want to be legit, you need to buy them from this one Italian brand. Tiramisu is all about the finer details, like soaking each ladyfinger in just the right amount of coffee and ensuring that you’re allowing the tiramisu rest long enough such that the layers soften.

I was quite pleased at the simplicity of my tiramisu Shufu bowl. After microwaving my Shufu, I poured in an espresso shot, plopped on some vanilla greek yogurt, and dusted with cacao powder. Voila!

Maybe I’ll start normalizing pouring coffee into breakfast bowls. It’s just so much more fun.
